Types of Household Ovens

Household ovens are mainly divided into small tabletop ovens and built-in ovens.

Small Tabletop Ovens

Tabletop ovens are highly flexible, allowing users to choose different configurations based on their needs. Prices vary widely, from a few hundred to several thousand yuan, depending on quality and features. Foreign brands tend to be more expensive, while domestic brands offer better cost performance, with many foreign models being OEM-manufactured in China. For long-term use and easier cleaning, it is recommended to choose a model with a non-stick oil liner.

Built-in Ovens

Built-in ovens are an advanced version of tabletop ovens, offering higher power, faster baking, better sealing (usually with rubber pads), superior heat insulation (three-layer tempered glass), and precise temperature control. These advantages have made them increasingly popular, especially among middle-class families who prefer homemade baked goods over store-bought ones due to health concerns.

Some built-in ovens lack lower heating tubes and do not require separate upper and lower temperature control. Instead, hot air circulation on the right side enhances baking performance, making them ideal for biscuits and pastries, though wind furnace ovens are more suitable for crisp textures. Straight heating tubes distribute heat more evenly than curved ones. Not all built-in ovens support double-layer baking, but larger and more evenly heated ovens improve baking success rates.
